Jakarta (ANTARA) - Changes in public habits regarding the use of digital services are driving mobility applications to evolve from mere booking tools into platforms capable of adapting to user needs.

This trend is evident in MyBluebird, which is currently expanding its role from a taxi-booking application to a digital gateway for various mobility services within a single platform.

“As a mobility company, Blueleg Group is positioning MyBluebird as one of the digital channels to access and book a variety of service options,” said the President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk, Andre Djokosoetono, in an official statement on Sunday.

He explained that the company noted MyBluebird has accounted for more than 40 per cent of the company’s total bookings across all channels.

A study cited by Bluebird shows that 84 per cent of Indonesian consumers prefer personalised offers, and 65 per cent of them prefer to receive such offers via mobile applications.

This shift is part of the evolution of MyBluebird, which is now being directed to serve as a mobility assistant. The application connects several mobility services and provides travel options based on user requirements.

In its development, three innovations have been introduced: Multi-Select, Airport Transfer, and enhancements to the Rent feature.

Multi-Select allows users to select more than one type of taxi service in a single booking, ensuring the nearest fleet can be assigned for pickup.

Meanwhile, Airport Transfer provides Goldenbird fleet options through the Ride feature for trips to and from the airport.

In the Rent feature, users can view Goldenbird fleet options and cost estimates before making a reservation for hourly or daily needs. Goods delivery services are also available through Bluebird Kirim via the Delivery feature.

This development continues Bluebird Group’s digital journey, which began in 2011 with the BlackBerry-based Taxi Mobile Reservation.

Currently, the MyBluebird application is also equipped with Advance Booking, Fixed Price, Multi-Payment, EZPay, and Subscription features to support more flexible travel needs.

“What we want to provide through MyBluebird is the freedom to choose travel that suits individual needs, timing, and methods. Because mobility is not about following a single way, but finding the most appropriate way for every person,” said Andre.
