The public prosecutor, Daru Iqbal Mursid, stated that Michael Wishnuwardhana Siagian was proven beyond reasonable doubt to have committed a criminal act resulting from his negligence that led to the death of another person. ‘Therefore the defendant Michael Wishnuwardhana Siagian is sentenced to two years in prison, minus time already served on arrest and detention,’ said the prosecutor. Michael was found to have violated Article 474(3) of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Penal Code (KUHP). In his indictment, the prosecutor also requested that Michael Wishnu remain in custody. The prosecutor also disclosed factors that aggravated Michael Wishnu’s position in the Terra Drone office fire case. Meanwhile, a settlement with 20 families of the deceased was cited as one of the factors mitigating Michael Wishnu’s position in the case.
