This Afternoon, Prabowo to Hold Eid al-Fitr Halalbihalal with SBY and Jokowi at the Palace

JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to hold a halalbihalal in commemoration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah with the former presidents at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Saturday afternoon (21/03/2026).

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the attendance of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

“Yes, we just received information regarding the attendance of Mr President SBY and Mr President Jokowi,” said Prasetyo at the Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Saturday.

However, Prasetyo indicated that the gathering would take place this afternoon.

“But the exact time we will confirm again. But insyaallah. Yes, it’s planned that way insya Allah, planned for this afternoon,” Prasetyo stated.

Regarding the possible attendance of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri, Prasetyo mentioned that there has been no further information so far for today’s agenda.

“For now, there is no information for today,” said Prasetyo by way of explanation.

Although Megawati is not scheduled to attend today’s halalbihalal, Prasetyo explained that the General Chair of PDI Perjuangan had met with Prabowo ahead of Eid at Merdeka Palace on Thursday (19/03/2026).

This afternoon’s meeting is hoped to become a symbol of unity among the nation’s leaders on this festive day. The public looks forward to the moment of togetherness of these figures amid the warm atmosphere of Eid 2026.
