Thirteen sailors still missing

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: Thirteen sailors on the KM Sinar Samudra freighter, which capsized in the Linta Strait off Flores Island on Sunday, were still missing as of yesterday.

Rescue workers have only found three crewmen who survived the rough sea on a sampan, head of the province's Transportation Office, JM Sitepu, told Antara.

Sitepu said the Search and Rescue agency is still looking for the missing sailors.

The ship was sailing toward Waipangu, Eastern Sumba, from Surabaya, from where it had set sail on Thursday. (emb)
