PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), operating as InJourney Airports at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport branch office in Tangerang, Banten, has announced that the third phase of the umrah service relocation to Special Terminal 2F has been accelerated to commence on 10 July 2026. This measure was taken based on an evaluation of the service implementation under Circular Letter of the Director General of Civil Aviation Number SE DJPU 12 of 2026 and Circular Letter of the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organisation Number SE-153/BN/2026. “The evaluation of the first phase showed that the departure process for pilgrims through Terminal 2F went well. All stakeholders were able to collaborate optimally, allowing the schedule for the next phase to be adjusted while prioritising operational readiness and service quality,” said Soekarno-Hatta Airport General Manager Heru Karyadi in Tangerang on Wednesday. He stated that the first phase of the relocation of group umrah pilgrim departure services through the Special Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport was carried out smoothly on 1 July 2026. In that first phase, pilgrims were served by Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines. Heru noted that the smooth implementation of the first phase provided the basis for accelerating the completion of the operational relocation process, so that the benefits of the Special Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F service can be felt more quickly by all umrah pilgrims. With this adjustment, the phases of operational relocation for umrah pilgrim departure services are as follows: Phase 1 (implemented on 1 July 2026) with Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines; Phase 2 (8 July 2026) with Scoot and Turkish Airlines; and Phase 3 (10 July 2026) with Qatar Airways, Egypt Air, Oman Air, Emirates, and Etihad Airways. He added that the acceleration of the relocation phases was carried out after considering the operational readiness of the airlines, airport service providers, ground handling companies, and all parties involved in serving umrah pilgrims. “The main objective is to deliver increasingly comfortable, orderly, and efficient services for all pilgrims from the moment they arrive at the airport until their departure to the Holy Land,” he said. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is committed to continuously improving service quality together with all stakeholders to support the organisation of umrah pilgrimages that are safe, orderly, and comfortable, and to provide a better experience that honours the journey for all pilgrims.
