Third Day of Ramadan Safari: Saan Mustopa Concludes Agenda with Communal Prayer
The third day of NasDem Party’s Ramadan Safari series concluded in a solemn atmosphere at Daarussalaam Islamic Boarding School in Sempon, Kadirejo, Pabelan, Semarang Regency. The visit took place following a consolidation meeting and communal iftar with the NasDem Party’s Central Java regional board, followed by tarawih prayers alongside Islamic scholars and students.
There was no large forum or lengthy consolidation session. The evening was instead filled with simple togetherness: worship, fellowship, and warm conversation with the boarding school’s caretakers.
Deputy Chairman of NasDem Party’s Central Executive Board and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Saan Mustopa, said the visit was part of efforts to maintain a balance between political work and spiritual endeavour.
“Every step certainly requires prayer. That is why we came to seek prayers and blessings from the kyai and the santri,” he said in a written statement on Monday (23/2/2026).
He emphasised that in every Ramadan Safari journey, Islamic boarding schools serve as an important space to realign one’s intentions. According to him, public service must always be accompanied by an awareness that dedication requires sincerity and the blessings of religious scholars.
The visit to Daarussalaam was the fifth pesantren visited during this year’s Ramadan Safari series, marking the conclusion of all third-day engagements.
The tarawih prayers, which were simple yet deeply reverent, served as the closing marker for the day’s activities. Without excessive ceremony, the agenda concluded with a communal prayer, expressing the hope that all efforts undertaken would bring benefit and blessings to the public.
