JAKARTA — Entering the third day of the 2026 Eid exodus from 13-15 March, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) recorded 1.53 million air passengers, representing a 14 percent increase across 37 airports operated by InJourney Airports.

InJourney Airports Chief Executive Mohammad R. Pahlevi stated that aircraft movements also increased by 9.5 percent to approximately 11,321 flights compared to the previous period in 2025, which recorded 10,327 flights.

“This increase is driven by the surge in domestic flights in line with the public’s tradition of travelling to their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr,” Pahlevi said in a written statement on Monday (16 March 2026).

InJourney Airports has supported the government’s aircraft ticket price reduction programme by cutting the Passenger Air Transport Service tariff (PJP2U). The PJP2U tariff covers airport services included in aircraft tickets, so a 50 percent reduction in this tariff directly reduces the overall ticket price.

Pahlevi added that all airports have successfully accommodated travel demand during this peak season period. “Close collaboration with stakeholders has been the key for InJourney Airports airports to ensure flight capacity availability and effectively manage the increase in passenger numbers,” he said.

“We are committed to serving with all our hearts and delivering a safe and comfortable Eid exodus for the public,” he added.

Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi conducted an inspection of the Eid exodus operations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang on Monday (16 March 2026), visiting Terminal 1C and Terminal 2D to directly observe passenger services and interact with users to ensure service standards remain maintained.

The total number of passengers across all InJourney Airports-managed airports during this year’s Eid exodus is projected to reach 9 million.
