PT Takeda Innovative Medicines has received recognition at the PR Indonesia Awards (PRIA) 2026, winning two Silver awards in the categories of ‘Public Affairs: Stakeholder Management’ and ‘Public Relations: Community-Based Development’. This achievement continues Takeda’s consistency in receiving awards at the same event for three consecutive years.

The award in the Public Affairs: Stakeholder Management category was given for Takeda’s efforts in building and maintaining strong collaborations with various stakeholders, including the government, professional organisations, and other strategic partners, to support the transformation and priorities of public health in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the award in the Public Relations: Community-Based Development category was given for the Women at the Center (WAC) programme, or Perempuan Indonesia Hidup Tanpa Kekerasan (Pihak), a global Takeda Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative implemented in Indonesia in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The programme aims to strengthen access to case management services for survivors of violence against women and girls through capacity building for service providers and cross-sector collaborations.

“We are grateful for the awards given again through the PR Indonesia Awards this year. For Takeda, these awards are not merely appreciation for communication programmes, but also recognition of the importance of building strong and sustainable partnerships to support health priorities in Indonesia,” said Revi Renita, Head of Public Affairs and Communications at PT Takeda Innovative Medicines, quoted from a written statement received on Thursday (19/3).

“For us, this recognition for three consecutive years reflects the solid teamwork and strong collaborations with various stakeholders, including the government, professional organisations, and partners like UNFPA, in delivering programmes that impact society,” she added.

CEO of PR Indonesia, Asmono Wikan, stated that participation in the PR Indonesia Awards continues to increase every year. In this year’s event, PR Indonesia received more than 550 entries from various public and private institutions and organisations across Indonesia.

“The increasing number of participants each year shows that strategic communication practices in Indonesia continue to develop. The awards received by Takeda this year reflect a communication approach that is not only strong in strategy but also able to demonstrate real impact, both in managing relationships with stakeholders and in community empowerment initiatives through CSR programmes,” he explained.

Meanwhile, as a partner in implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, the UNFPA Representative in Indonesia, Hassan Mohtashami, expressed his appreciation for the PR Indonesia Awards received by Takeda, and highlighted the impact of the Pihak/WAC programme in strengthening protection systems for survivors of violence.

“We welcome this recognition as a reflection of the importance of collaboration in protecting women and girls. The Pihak programme is concrete evidence of our joint commitment to strengthening protection systems and improving access to services for survivors of violence against women and girls in Indonesia. Through this strategic partnership, UNFPA together with Takeda and stakeholders strives to ensure that every survivor receives safe, appropriate, and quality support,” he clarified.
