Thieves target bus passengers

Bus passengers and those frequenting public places should be
particularly alerted to the thieves or pickpockets that are
operating at large in this fasting month of Ramadhan.

Victims of these criminals are unaware of the thieves due to
their systematic methods. Most people are also reluctant to
report such crimes for fear of further threats.

Thugs target both men and women but females are more often
their victims. My brother had a bitter experience when he was
about to take a bus from Parkir Timur Senayan to his office in
Kota. He was pushed and nudged from behind and somebody also
bumped into him. When he managed to get on the bus, his cellphone
was already gone.

Therefore, one should be watchful of strangers or crowds when
using public transport and on busy streets, so as not to fall
prey to such criminals.
