Thieves hit shoe factory

BANDUNG (JP): Fifteen thieves armed with handguns and sickles robbed a house, which was also used as a shoe accessory factory, in broad daylight on Tuesday, making off with Rp 15 million in cash and other valuables.

The house, belonging to businessman Hendra Tanuharja, was robbed at noon.

Antara reported that Hendra and his fifteen employees were locked up in a room while the thieves took Rp 7 million in cash and jewelry estimated to be worth Rp 8 million.

A police officer, Second Insp. Supri, said the thieves fled in a waiting car.(02)
