A state primary school in Sukamulya village, Rumpin district, Bogor, West Java, was burgled, with a number of items stolen from the school.

“Among the office items missing were seven laptops, three notebooks, two printers, one sound system, one amplifier, one printer machine and a desktop computer,” Rumpin Police Chief AKP Iwan Heri Suryana said on Thursday (22 October 2026).

He said the incident took place at around 5.30am that day. It came to light when the school caretaker went to clean the rooms.

“He then went to the teachers’ office and was shocked to find that its door was open,” he added.

The caretaker informed a teacher and the local neighbourhood head. They then inspected the school together and found signs that a window had been forced open.

“The suspected perpetrator is believed to have entered through a school window,” he said.

They subsequently reported the incident to the police. He said investigators had visited the scene and conducted an examination.

“The complainant suffered losses of approximately Rp100 million as a result of the incident,” he concluded.
