REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUNINGAN – The Special Ramadan 2026 Affordable Food Movement is held daily in Kuningan Regency. In each event, rice, eggs, and cooking oil are the most sought-after products by the public.

The movement has been held since Monday (23/2/2026) in three different locations each day, namely Seda Village (Mandirancan District), Haurkuning Village (Nusaherang District), and Kasturi Village (Kuningan District).

The Head of the Kuningan Regency Food Security and Agriculture Office, Wahyu Hidayah, explained that the average distribution per location ranges from six to seven tons of commodities. Most of the products are quickly purchased due to the high demand from the public during Ramadan.

“In the three events, the total commodities sold have reached nearly 20 tons. The public’s enthusiasm is very high,” said Wahyu, Thursday (26/2/2026).

Based on transaction data in the field, the three most purchased commodities by the public are rice, cooking oil, and eggs. In addition, sugar, chicken meat, red onions, and garlic also recorded significant sales.

In each event, the government prepares up to three tons of rice per location, about 300 liters of cooking oil, 250 kilograms of eggs, 250 kilograms of beef, 200 kilograms of sugar, and various horticultural commodities such as chili and vegetables.

The public’s response is considered very positive because the price difference offered is quite competitive compared to market prices. Since morning, residents have crowded the event locations, and several commodities have sold out before the event ends.
