These Budget Headphones Are Unique: They Can Display Song Lyrics on the Earcups
Edifier, the audio equipment maker, has launched a new headphone model called the Auro Ace. The headphones feature a unique design with earcups that can display the lyrics of the song currently playing. Support for lyrics display is enabled by a dot-matrix display integrated into the earcups of the Edifier Auro Ace. In addition to showing lyrics, the screen can also display real-time audio spectrum animations when connected via Bluetooth.
Despite the screen design, the Edifier Auro Ace is intended to be a budget-friendly headphone. The audio device is equipped with a 32 mm dynamic driver, paired with a dedicated acoustic chamber design to produce louder and more balanced sound.
For endurance, the Edifier Auro Ace is equipped with a battery rated to last up to 62 hours, assuming the dot-matrix display is turned off and the volume is at 50 percent. The headphone battery can be recharged with fast charging support. According to Edifier, a 15-minute charge can provide playback time equivalent to around 11 hours.
The headphones support Bluetooth 6.0, allowing connection to a variety of devices. Its multipoint support also enables pairing to a smartphone and a laptop simultaneously. There is also USB plug-and-play support if users prefer a wired connection.
When connected to a smartphone, there is a shortcut that allows users to snap a photo by double-pressing the power button.
Edifier Auro Ace is designed to be lightweight, weighing 130 grams. According to Edifier, this design aims to minimise head pressure during long usage sessions. Each earcup is equipped with soft ear cushions. The two earcups are connected with connectors that are adjustable, to suit the user’s head circumference.
Edifier Auro Ace is available in several colour options: silver, black and gold.
In China, Edifier Auro Ace is priced at 279 yuan or around Rp 727,025, according to KompasTekno from Gizmochina. It is not yet known whether this headphone will be available outside China, including Indonesia. Let’s wait and see.
