JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The DPR’s Legislation Body (Baleg) has outlined a series of priority draft laws (RUU) that will be discussed during the parliamentary session from May to July 2026. “I think these are the utmost priorities that we must resolve as soon as possible,” stated Bob Hasan, Chairman of the DPR’s Baleg, at the Senayan parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/5/2026). The priority bills are: 1. Strategic Commodities Bill; 2. Aceh Governance Bill; 3. Wiretapping Bill; 4. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bill; 5. Textile Bill; 6. Indigenous Peoples Bill; 7. Bill on the Management of Drinking Water and Sanitation; 8. Bill on One Data Indonesia; 9. Bill on Freelance Workers; 10. Bill on Indonesian Platforms; 11. Bill on the Protection of Gig Economy Workers.
