These are the considerations for preparing Jakarta's 2027 development plan

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Provincial Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto emphasised that various aspects, including public proposals and regional performance, must be considered in preparing the 2027 Jakarta development plan. “The preparation of the development plan must also take into account the development performance in each city or regency area, particularly in formulating strategic issues and regional development priorities,” he said while opening the City/Regency Level Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) for the Province of DKI Jakarta Year 2026 at City Hall on Thursday. Uus noted that up to 2025, economic growth, poverty rates, and open unemployment rates, after the Human Development Index (HDI), still show disparities between cities or regencies. Therefore, development planning needs to consider a territorial-based approach aimed at equitable development in each city area in DKI Jakarta. Furthermore, each city or regency has different characteristics and potentials that can be promoted and maximised in efforts to boost economic growth and reduce existing inequalities in DKI Jakarta. In this regard, the preparation of city or regency development plans should pay attention to the direction and strategic issues of each city or regency as contained in the Jakarta Province Medium-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2025-2029. The implementation of Musrenbang at the city and regency levels is a series in the preparation of the draft Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) for 2027 as a follow-up to the mandate of Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 86 of 2017. In the event, mayors and regents presented reports on the results of sub-district level Musrenbang based on citizen proposals that have been inputted, verified, and validated in stages from RW, village, to sub-district levels. “I ask all ranks of the Jakarta Provincial Government to follow up on all citizen proposals resulting from the Musrenbang to subsequently become input and consideration material in preparing the 2027 development plan,” said Uus.
