These Are the 5 Best Designs for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day Logo, Public Can Vote

The government has selected five finalist logo designs for the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence, allowing the public to participate directly in choosing the official emblem. Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro stated that President Prabowo Subianto wanted the celebration to belong to the people, encouraging active public participation starting with the logo selection. The official theme for the commemoration is ‘Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur’ (A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia).

Voting is open from 24 to 28 June 2026 via the website logohutri.istanapresiden.go.id. The five shortlisted designs were curated from 124 submissions across Indonesia. The finalists are: David Wirawan from Surakarta with ‘8 Harapan 1 Tujuan’ (8 Hopes 1 Goal), featuring elements of resilience, ecosystem, progress, collaboration, unity, patriotism, advancement, and vitality; Fajar Novario from Padang with ‘Kolektif, Sinergi, Bertumbuh’ (Collective, Synergy, Growth), inspired by cultural diversity and popular sovereignty; Kanda Putra from Denpasar with ‘Kemanusiaan yang Terhubung’ (Connected Humanity), reflecting the second principle of Pancasila and the Asta Cita vision; Rizkiawan from Malang with ‘Berdaya, Setara, Sinergi Bersama’ (Empowered, Equal, Synergised Together), using three lines to symbolise resilience, collaboration, and equality; and Tiffany Djohan from Batam with ‘Demokrasi & Kemandirian’ (Democracy & Self-Reliance), incorporating a sustainability bridge, a speech bubble for democratic openness, and rice and cotton motifs representing social justice.
