There's always a catch

PURWOKERTO, Central Java: The vehicles come cheap and they are in superb condition. There is one catch however. They are most likely to be stolen goods.

Chief of the Banyumas Police Col. Demak Lubis said many car buyers in the regency have simply chosen to ignore the fact these vehicles do not come with proper documents.

This is making it difficult for police to bust the syndicate of car thieves because by the time they get hold of the cars, the vehicles were likely to have changed hands several times, Demak said. (emb)
