The National Kwartir (Kwarnas) of the Scout Movement has launched the official theme and logo for the 65th Scout Day. This visual identity serves as a guideline for organising various activities to commemorate Scout Day, which is observed every 14 August. Each year, Scout Day carries a theme and logo with a different message. This year, the introduced theme and logo reflect the spirit of organisational renewal as well as the Scout Movement’s commitment to supporting national development towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.

Referring to a press release from the National Kwartir of the Scout Movement, the theme for the 65th Scout Day in 2026 is “Strengthening the Organisation’s Steps to Support Food Self-Sufficiency Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.” This theme provides the direction for the organisation’s movement and the spirit carried in this year’s Scout Day commemoration. According to Kwarnas, the theme contains several messages reflecting the transformation of the Scout Movement to become more relevant to the challenges of the times and capable of contributing to the national development agenda.

The meaning of the 65th Scout Day commemoration theme is as follows: “Strengthening the organisation’s steps” reflects the transformation effort of the Scout Movement into a modern, professional, and well-organised entity. “Supporting food self-sufficiency” represents the Scouts’ commitment to strengthening national food resilience and sovereignty through community service activities. “Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045” affirms the Scout Movement’s role as a platform for youth development, preparing them to become the nation’s future leaders.

Alongside the theme launch, Kwarnas also introduced the official logo for the 65th Scout Day 2026. The logo represents the Scout Movement as a resilient, adaptive, environmentally conscious organisation ready to be a pillar of development towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. The logo consists of several meaningful elements: The number 65 is formed with curved lines resembling flowing water and flapping wings, symbolising flexibility, dynamism, and a progressive spirit in facing changing times. The coconut sprout emblem serves as the primary identity of the Scout Movement, depicting Scout members as resilient, beneficial shoots of the nation capable of adapting to various conditions. The World Scout emblem confirms that Indonesian Scouts are part of the international scouting fraternity.

Beyond the visual form, the colours used also carry a philosophy: Red and white symbolise courage, purity, and the identity of the Indonesian nation. Gold (yellow) symbolises glory, nobility, and optimism towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. Turquoise green symbolises freshness, a spirit of renewal, and concern for the environment.

The Scout Movement was officially introduced on 14 August 1961 as a non-formal educational organisation providing scouting education in Indonesia. The word Pramuka is an acronym for Praja Muda Karana, meaning “Young People Who Like to Work.” Currently, the Scout Movement is managed by the National Kwartir with an organisational network spread across Indonesia, consisting of 1 National Kwartir, 35 Regional Kwartirs, 514 Branch Kwartirs, 5,277 Sub-Branch Kwartirs, and 239,877 Front Groups. The launch of the 65th Scout Day theme and logo is expected to be a momentum to strengthen the spirit of all Scout Movement members to continue creating, serving the community, and contributing to realising a Golden Indonesia 2045.
