The Story of Selvia Putri, a Cyber University Student Successful in Business

Selvia Putri Permata Sari, a final-year student in the Information Systems Study Programme at the Universitas Siber Indonesia (Cyber University) from the 2022 cohort, has proven that academic commitments are not an obstacle to entrepreneurship. Amidst her studies, she has successfully established a private tutoring business and a Muslim fashion enterprise titled “Bandicion Fashion”.

Not only focusing on managing her business lines, Selvia has also maintained brilliant academic achievements, securing a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.93. Due to these accomplishments, she was also awarded the Brilliant Scholarship at her university.

Selvia has further enriched her experience through an internship at the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) and by actively honing her data analytics skills. She applied these skills in her undergraduate thesis, which analysed sales patterns at the ‘Toko Sayur Ibu Nurwaini’ using the FP-Growth method to generate data-driven product layout recommendations.

The Head of the Information Systems Study Programme at Cyber University, Dwipo Setyantoro, expressed his appreciation for the perseverance and achievements of his student.

“Selvia is a reflection of an adaptive and multi-talented Information Systems student. We are very proud to see how she is able to align high academic achievement with an entrepreneurial spirit and the real-world application of technological science in society,” said Dwipo, in a press release received on Friday (4/9/2026).

Selvia’s journey serves as an inspiration for the younger generation, demonstrating that university years provide a vast space to build competence, foster independence, and bravely explore various career opportunities.
