The Story of Ipda Aris: From the Beginning of the Trip to Gili Trawangan to the Death of Brigadier Nurhadi

The trial of the murder case of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi resumed at the Mataram District Court on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto was examined as a defendant.

Aris stated that he went to Gili Trawangan after being invited by Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama, who is also a defendant in the case. Initially, Yogi called on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, a few hours before they departed for Gili Trawangan. At that time, Aris was on duty guarding the psychological test for the Akpol test.

“During the break, I went to the office,” Aris said at the Mataram District Court on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Aris went to Yogi’s office. At that time, Yogi served as the PS Head of the Paminal Sub-Directorate of the Propam Division of the NTB Police. Aris was his subordinate, as was Brigadier Nurhadi.

When he met Yogi, Aris was invited to go to Gili Trawangan for a vacation. Nurhadi was also going to join them. According to Aris, at that time, he did not know that Yogi was also inviting Misri Puspita Sari to Gili Trawangan.

“I didn’t know he was inviting a woman. I found out when we were about to leave,” Aris said.

Before going to Gili Trawangan, they first picked up Misri at the Senggigi Port and Meylani Putri at a minimarket. “After picking up Putri, we went to Gili Trawangan,” he said.

Yogi and Misri went to Villa Tekek The Beach House and Resort, where they would stay. Aris, Putri, and Nurhadi went to the Natya Hotel. “In the afternoon, I was called by him. ‘Bro, come to the villa,’” Aris said, imitating Yogi’s voice.

They gathered at the private pool. According to Aris, he was given a green pill by Putri, his companion. Putri told him to break it in half.

“I gave Putri half, and I took half,” he said.

Aris admitted that he did not take the pill but threw it away. Shortly after, Misri gave him another white pill. “I threw it away again,” he added.

Not long after, Nurhadi went out to buy drinks. Yogi asked him to buy a bottle of Singleton, but it was not available. Nurhadi ended up buying a different brand.

“After that, before Maghrib prayer, I went out with Putri,” he said.

Aris returned to the hotel where he was staying with Putri. Before returning, Aris first took Yogi to the bed where he was sleeping.

Aris cleaned himself and changed clothes with Putri. Then they went out and sat in the restaurant. According to Aris, he went back into the villa where Yogi was staying to deliver a towel.

“When I arrived at the villa, I met Misri,” he said.

At that time, Misri asked for help in turning on a speaker that Yogi had brought. The speaker could not connect to Misri’s phone. Misri wanted to listen to music and dance.

“I fixed the speaker. It took me a while,” he said.

The speaker was connected, but it stopped working after a while. Aris went out of the villa to look for another speaker, but he couldn’t find one. “I was fixing it, but it didn’t work. I went out. I sat in the restaurant, and we ordered food,” he said.

Not long after, M Rayendra Rizqillah Abadi, who was also a member of the Paminal Sub-Directorate of the Propam Division of the NTB Police, called him. Rayendra asked about Yogi’s whereabouts. Aris replied that Yogi was at the villa.

Rayendra asked him to inform Yogi that there was an escaped prisoner. “So I went back into the villa,” he said.

When he entered, Nurhadi was in the pool, and he seemed to be in a good mood. There, Nurhadi was told to stay calm. Aris said that Nurhadi replied, “It’s okay, sir, everything is fine.”

After that, Aris went into Yogi’s room to show Rayendra that Yogi was sleeping. Yogi was woken up, but he didn’t fully wake up. “Sir, wake up, sir,” Aris said. “He just mumbled, but his eyes didn’t open,” Aris said.

Rayendra asked him to inform Yogi about the escaped prisoner after he woke up. Aris decided to leave the villa. The video call with Rayendra was still connected.

“Then I went out, and I showed Misri to Rayendra,” he said.

Misri was sitting on the terrace outside the villa. Aris also showed Rayendra Nurhadi’s condition at that time. Nurhadi asked his senior to come to Gili Trawangan.

“Finally, I said, okay, sir. I turned off the phone and went out,” he said.

Later that night, Yogi called Aris twice. The first call was to ask about his whereabouts. The second call was to inform him that Nurhadi had drowned.

When he arrived at the villa, he saw Yogi pressing Nurhadi’s chest. He said that Yogi made up a story when he asked him to look for help. According to him, looking for help was his own initiative.

“‘Quickly ask for help’ - that didn’t happen. He just made it up. I said, what’s wrong, sir, what’s wrong with Nurhadi. I took the initiative to look for help,” he said.

Aris admitted that he tried to call the manager of The Beach House and Resort, but there was no response. Then he asked a hotel employee to help. “Finally, he went there, and he was helped by some people,” he said.

Not long after, the medical team arrived and provided assistance. However, Nurhadi’s condition did not improve. He was then taken to the Medika Warna Clinic, but Nurhadi’s life could not be saved.

It is known that Brigadier Nurhadi died at Villa Tekek The Beach House Resort, Gili Trawangan, after a party with alcohol and drugs with Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris, as well as two women, Misri Puspita Sari and Meylani Putri, on Wednesday night, April 16, 2025.

The two women were allegedly hired by Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris. In this case, Misri Puspita Sari was also named as a suspect. However, the trial has not yet begun. Her case file has only been declared complete.
