The Splendour of Kololi Gam: Torch Procession Tradition Welcomes Lailatul Qadar in Ternate

A number of residents participated in the Kololi Gam torch procession in Ternate, North Maluku, on Tuesday, 17 March 2026. The event, organised by the Youth of Kalumata District, drew participants from across the community—including children, teenagers, and adults—with the aim of preserving the torch procession tradition observed on the night of Lailatul Qadar during the sacred month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah. Several residents performed fire-breathing stunts whilst participating in the torch procession parade in Kalumata District.
