The Skyfront Officially Opens, Offering a Scenic Spot to Enjoy Coffee While Watching Planes
TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com - The new hangout spot next to the runway of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, The Skyfront, officially opened on Tuesday (25/2/2026).
The presence of The Skyfront is part of the initial development of a 1,100-hectare township. This area offers not only residential and infrastructure but also culinary destinations with an open-space concept and a modern atmosphere.
Head of Commercial Asthara Skyfront City, Dahlia Salim, said that The Skyfront offers a variety of culinary options aimed at becoming a new destination for the community.
“As the first commercial area in the Asthara Skyfront City area, The Skyfront presents a variety of favorite culinary choices that are ready to become a new destination for the community, ranging from Kwetiau Aho, Jin Ramen, Lad n Lass, to O’llamaak! Kedai Kopi Melayu,” said Dahlia at the opening of The Skyfront.
“The iconic runway view provides a dynamic and different ambiance, making The Skyfront a destination with a unique experience that has never existed before in Jabodetabek,” she said.
The Skyfront is designed as a modern commercial area with a lifestyle dining concept in an open space. This area is targeted to be a center for lifestyle and a gathering place for families, young professionals, and the surrounding community who want to enjoy a different culinary experience in Tangerang and the airport area.
On the same occasion, CEO of Asthara Skyfront City, Supardi Ang, expressed his desire to develop new commercial areas in Tangerang.
One of them is the construction of a shopping center or mall in the The Skyfront complex, which is planned to begin at the end of 2026.
“The construction of the mall may take 1.5 years. So, hopefully, by the end of 2027 or early 2028, the mall will be operational,” said Supardi.
“Because it’s not possible that if we live in South Jakarta, we want to go to a mall in North Jakarta. Every location definitely has its own city center, its own commercial center,” said Supardi.
Of the 1,100 hectares, Asthara will use 100 hectares specifically for commercial areas.
Asthara has also launched the Allurea Asthara Skyfront City cluster at the end of 2025. Supardi said that 300 housing units have been sold out.
There are four types of houses, ranging in size from approximately 69 square meters to 150 square meters.
