The Skyfront: A New Culinary Hub with Views of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Runway

The Skyfront is officially open as a new culinary hub, offering a dining experience with direct views of the runway at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang.

Located in the Asthara Skyfront City area, this commercial area presents a lifestyle dining concept in an open space with a modern and dynamic atmosphere, also serving as a new hangout or recreational destination for the community of Tangerang and Jabodetabek.

Chief Executive of Asthara Skyfront City, Supardi Ang, stated that the presence of this place marks the initial step in activating the 1,100-hectare township, which is being developed as an integrated future city with an urban lifestyle.

“Visitors will be able to see the airport runway directly from The Skyfront,” he said during the launch event of the first commercial area of Asthara Skyfront City, The Skyfront, on Wednesday (February 25).

Supardi believes that the area around the airport has significant potential that has not been optimally utilized.

“We see that there hasn’t been an adequate culinary area around here. Therefore, we are building a new area with adequate standards,” he explained.

Supardi added that the opening of The Skyfront is part of the commitment to develop the area in stages and sustainably.

“This is in line with the vision of creating an integrated future city with a modern and vibrant lifestyle,” he added.

Designed as a modern commercial area with open space, The Skyfront presents a lifestyle dining concept with a unique atmosphere. This area is targeted to become a new hangout spot and lifestyle center for families, young professionals, and local residents seeking a different culinary experience in Tangerang and the airport area.

Supardi added that the future development of the area will bring various quality and themed non-residential facilities.

“What we will build will be non-residential in nature, such as malls, hospitals, hotels, and so on,” said Supardi.

In the same event, Head of Commercial at Asthara Skyfront City, Dahlia Salim, said that as the first commercial area, The Skyfront offers a variety of culinary choices that are ready to become a new destination for the community. These include Kwetiau Aho, Jin Ramen, Lad n Lass, and O’llamaak! Kedai Kopi Melayu.

The presence of these various tenants strengthens The Skyfront’s position as the first commercial hub with direct views of aircraft takeoff and landing activities.

“The iconic airport runway view creates a dynamic and different ambiance, making The Skyfront a destination with a unique experience that has never existed before in Jabodetabek,” said Dahlia.

This concept is also expected to support the tenant ecosystem and attract visitors, in line with the potential of the area around Indonesia’s busiest airport.

The opening is made even more special as it takes place during the holy month of Ramadan, which is synonymous with togetherness, and the Lunar New Year, which brings optimism and a new beginning.

The development of Asthara Skyfront City is supported by a developer from the Fangiono family, who are known as experienced conglomerates who have transformed their business into property. As the initial stage of the Asthara Skyfront City development, the Allurea cluster has been introduced since last year. This cluster is designed as a premium residence with a modern touch and is equipped with various smart living technologies, green landscapes, and communal facilities that support the lifestyle of its residents.

The cluster offers two types of houses. First, type 6, which is suitable for first-time homebuyers, with an efficient and functional design. Second, type 8, which is intended for those who want a classy home with a modern life.

Asthara Bridge is designed to span approximately one kilometer, crossing the Cisadane River and will connect the area’s entrance to the Asthara Skyfront City township.

Supardi said that the construction of the bridge is estimated to take about 18 months, with the first phase targeted for completion in June 2027.

KAI Commuter is accelerating the evacuation process of the Basoetta No. 806 Commuter Line train heading to Soekarno-Hatta Airport or the Airport Train due to being hit by a truck at the Poris station.

The target is that this service must be fully operational before the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period to help with the mobility of people to the airport.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is finalizing the readiness of the bus fleet and supporting infrastructure along the route.
