The Rooms Searched by the DKI Attorney General's Office are the Minister's and Deputy Minister's Work Offices
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The work offices of Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo and Deputy Minister Diana Kusumastuti were searched by a team of investigators from the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday (9/4/2026). The search is related to the investigation into alleged criminal acts of corruption in the 2023–2024 fiscal year procurement. The search was directly confirmed by Dody during a press statement at the Ministry of Public Works office in Kebayoran Baru, Central Jakarta, on Friday (10/4/2026). He said he had given permission to the investigators to examine all rooms in his ministry. He emphasised that the search by law enforcement officials was legally conducted. Dody also admitted to having sought permission from President Prabowo Subianto before the investigators carried out the search in his office. However, he claimed not to remember in detail which audit documents were taken by the investigators. “The audit result documents that I kept in my place were taken. But I forget the details because there were so many documents,” Dody explained. “But the computer wasn’t taken. I was hoping my computer would be taken so I could buy a new one, but it wasn’t,” he added. Dody also revealed that 16 items were seized by the investigative team from the search at the Ministry of Public Works complex. He mentioned that the search was conducted in the Main Building, the Cipta Karya Building, and the Water Resources Building (SDA). “There were 16 items (taken). Mostly notebooks,” Dody stated. He also confirmed that one PC unit (personal computer) and several printed documents were among those seized. According to him, the majority of the seizures came from the Cipta Karya Building. “So the ones taken in large numbers were indeed from Cipta Karya,” he stressed. However, Dody denied that several mobile phones were also secured by the investigators.
