Bandung (ANTARA) - The Prabowonomics concept was officially introduced through a book by activist Syahganda Nainggolan, titled ‘Prabowonomics, Democracy, and the Challenges Ahead’, launched at the West Hall of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Thursday. Syahganda, at the scene, explained that although not entirely, around 30 percent of the book’s contents specifically review ‘Prabowonomics’, which he describes as a national strategy in facing global uncertainty. The idea emerged, he continued, amid a volatile world economy and the impact of wars in various regions that affect national stability. He stressed that the book’s main message is to build public trust so that the nation remains united under national leadership to achieve tangible policy results, in order to navigate Indonesia out of the bind of economic crisis and the dynamics of global geopolitics. ‘The world economy is volatile. I hope the leadership of Prabowo Subianto can lift the nation. The book’s message is simple: for the people to trust President Prabowo as the right person to lead the republic in times of crisis like now,’ he said. At the same venue, Deputy Speaker of the House Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, who attended as keynote speaker, said the work of the book does not only address economic figures but also a critical reflection on democracy and national unity. ‘I have read this book. The title is indeed fantastic, but its content contains various views on democracy, constructive corrections, and national unity. This book must be read,’ Dasco said. Echoing Dasco, ITB Rector Tatacipta Dirgantara welcomed the book as a space for ideas for Indonesia’s future. The event was also attended by the Minister of Manpower Yassierli, the Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono, and the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Brian Yuliarto. In addition to the ministers, the event was also attended by Ketua Komisi X DPR RI Hetifah Sjaifudian, Ketua Komisi XI DPR RI Misbakhun, and labour figure Jumhur Hidayat, turning the launch into a cross-sector platform for consolidating ideas.
