The Peak Ceremony of the 2026 Hoegeng Awards Begins
The peak ceremony of the 2026 Hoegeng Awards, recognising five exemplary police officers, has begun. The awards ceremony was held at The Tribrata Darmawangsa in South Jakarta on Friday, 31 July 2026. The event was attended by the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and the Chairman of CT Corp, Chairul Tanjung.
Numerous ministers and leaders of state institutions were also in attendance, including the Chairman of the MPR RI, Ahmad Muzani; the Chairman of the DPD RI, Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin; the Attorney General, ST Burhan Educated; and several ministers overseeing areas such as Women’s Empowerment, Manpower, and Agrarian Affairs. Other notable attendees included the heads of the KPK, BNPT, BNN, and BPIP, alongside various Deputy Ministers and high-ranking police officials.
About the Hoegeng Awards
The Hoegeng Awards is a collaborative programme between detikcom and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) designed to honour exemplary officers. There are five award categories for the 2026 edition: Dedicated Police, Innovative Police, Integrity Police, Police Protector of Women and Children, and Police in Border and Remote Areas.
The selection process for the 2026 awards began with public nominations starting on 27 January 2026, receiving over nine thousand submissions by the closing date on 2 April 2026. Following an initial verification by the organising committee, the names were submitted to a Panel of Experts, which included former KPK leadership, members of Kompolnas, and representatives from Komnas HAM and the DPR.
After rigorous deliberation and a public testing phase held in May 2026, the final nominees were selected. The 15 candidates for the 2026 Hoegeng Awards across the various categories include officers from regions such as Padang, West Nusa Tenggara, Riau, North Sulawesi, East Java, Bali, Central Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua, and Banggai Laut, as well as officers from the National Police Headquarters (Bareskrim Polri).
