On the night before being officially named suspects, former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, was approached by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). Dadan is one of three former BGN executives picked up by investigators during the probe into alleged corruption regarding the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

The Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre at the Attorney General’s Office, Jefri, revealed that the detentions were carried out after the investigative team searched several locations linked to the suspects. In addition to taking the suspects into custody, investigators also secured various pieces of evidence seized during the searches for further examination.

“When we conducted searches at their residences, each suspect, along with the evidence obtained from the searches, was brought to the Attorney General’s Office for further interrogation,” he stated, as reported on Thursday, 4 June 2026.

Dadan was reportedly picked up at his residence in the Bogor area, West Java. Meanwhile, the former Deputy Head of the BGN, Lodewyk Pusung, was detained at his home in the Matraman area, East Jakarta. Another former BGN Deputy, Sony Sonjaya, was picked up at a different location, specifically a hotel.

“One person was at a hotel. The individual named Sony was at the hotel, while the other two were at their residences in Bogor and Matraman,” Jefri added.

The moments of the detentions were captured in a video subsequently shared by the Attorney General’s Office. In the footage, Dadan is seen leaving his residence at night wearing a black polo shirt before walking towards the investigators’ vehicle. The same video also shows the activities of Sony Sonjaya shortly before he was picked up by investigators to be taken to the Attorney General’s Office’s Bundar Building.

In addition to the detentions, investigators also conducted searches at the BGN office and several other locations related to the case. From this series of searches, investigators secured various documents and electronic devices suspected to be relevant to the ongoing investigation. The Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that the seized evidence will undergo further analysis to support the investigation process. “The results of the searches include documents and electronic evidence, such as mobile phones, laptops, and others,” said Syarief.
