The Man Worth Rp 3,400 Trillion Returns Home, Showcasing New Revenue Streams
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has utilised his hometown in Taiwan as a platform to showcase the RTX Spark chip, a new product described as a potential new revenue stream for Nvidia. Huang refers to the RTX Spark as a ‘superchip’ due to its ability to transform laptops into AI-capable computers capable of running AI agent programmes such as OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.
The billionaire, with an estimated wealth of Rp 3,460 trillion, also revealed several laptop brands that have already integrated RTX Spark into their products, including Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI, with Acer and Gigabyte expected to follow. He noted that future PCs will feature CPUs, GPUs, RAM, and Nvidia’s CUDA software to run local versions of Large Language Models (LLMs).
Nvidia states that RTX technology promises faster AI performance, improved image quality, and support for AI features across more than 1,000 applications and games. In marketing materials, RTX Spark is positioned as an alternative for creators to produce AI content while providing a significant upgrade for gamers. Over 100 software developers, including Riot Games, Adobe, and Xbox, have committed to supporting the new chip.
Huang holds an ambitious vision to revolutionise computing by ending the era of ‘application, click, and type’. ‘With RTX Spark and Microsoft Windows, you simply ask, and the computer does everything,’ he stated in an Nvidia release.
The RTX Spark represents Nvidia’s latest move to expand its business from being solely a GPU supplier to becoming a CPU supplier for the personal computer market, a sector valued at over US$200 billion. Nvidia’s newly released Vera CPU, slated for early 2026, has already recorded sales of US$20 billion (approximately Rp 35.7 trillion).
Huang has frequently chosen Taiwan as the launch site for Nvidia’s new products. The ‘king of AI’, born Huang Jen-Hsun in Taipei in 1963, spent his childhood in Taiwan and Thailand before moving to the United States due to regional instability during the Vietnam War. Despite his immense success, Huang is noted for his humility; he famously worked as a dishwasher at Denny’s during his youth—the very restaurant where the idea for Nvidia was conceived in 1993 alongside co-founders Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem. Even as a global tech leader, Huang is known to prefer street food over luxury hotel dining, often opting for local culinary experiences over high-end banquets.
