The Learning Spirit of Transmigrant Children in a Remote School in the Kerinci Mountains

In the cool climate of the Kerinci mountains in Jambi, the children of transmigrants are pursuing their education at SDN 44/III Sungai Bermas. Although the school is located in a remote village at an altitude of approximately 1,300 metres above sea level, their enthusiasm for learning continues to grow with the support of teaching staff and adequate school facilities. The state school was built to improve educational services for transmigrant children in the isolated highland area. It currently has a total of 12 pupils guided by 10 teaching staff, allowing the learning process to take place more intensively. Despite the small number of pupils, the educational facilities and infrastructure at the school are considered sufficient to support teaching and learning activities. The presence of the school in the transmigration area is expected to open up equal educational opportunities for children in remote regions, while also serving as a foundation for the emergence of quality human resources.
