The Karangkates Floating Solar Power Plant targeted to begin operations this year

The construction of the Karangkates floating solar power plant (PLTS) in Malang Regency, East Java, is currently in the construction phase, with progress reaching 70 per cent. According to data from PLN Nusantara Power, the project is targeted to begin operations within this year.

The plant will have a capacity of 100 MWac (or 133 MWp), which is capable of providing electricity equivalent to the needs of approximately 35,000 households. The project represents an investment of approximately US$100 million.
