The Journey of Hajj Ships

Jakarta, 18/06/1954 (ANTARA) - Information obtained from the P.H.I. Central Information Department indicates that the second Hajj ship, ‘Tyndareus I’, which left Indonesian waters on 26 May 1954 carrying 1,710 pilgrims, arrived in Jeddah on 12 June 1954. All pilgrims on board the vessel arrived safely and well.

Meanwhile, yesterday at approximately 15:00, the fourth Hajj ship, ‘Borneo’, departed from Tanjung Priok carrying 1,293 pilgrims. This group includes 532 passengers who boarded in Surabaya (including pilgrims from Bima and Sumbawa), 300 who boarded in Semarang, and 461 who boarded in Tanjung Priok.
