`The Jakarta Post' on your mobile phone

OceanLake is pleased to announce that The Jakarta Post has licensed OceanLake's mScope product to offer mobile access to all news stories from any mobile device worldwide, from any mobile carrier. This new mobile service will provide mobile access to the largest English language newspaper in Indonesia and, at the same time, will allow The Jakarta Post to create a new revenue stream by partnering with mobile operators in the region.

The new service will be available to the over 20 million mobile subscribers in and around Jakarta.

Currently, there are numerous short messaging service (SMS)- based news services available in Indonesia, but The Jakarta Post was interested in leading the charge into a richer media experience when offering news to mobile subscribers globally.

Now, users will have a much more friendly experience when accessing a news story, receiving the full story as well as any images associated with it.

The mobile version of The Jakarta Post is available on any GPRS-enabled mobile device, at http://mobile.thejakartapost.com and will be updated as fresh news stories become available on the standard website.

OceanLake is proud to continue to lay the foundations of a successful strategy in Southeast Asia.--JP
