JAKARTA — PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) is supporting efforts to improve financial literacy and inclusion among the public by participating in the Jogja Financial Festival 2026 events. Through the event, Askrindo provided interactive, relevant, and easily understandable insurance education, particularly for young people and the general public. In collaboration with IFG Group, Askrindo set up engaging and interactive financial literacy activities and protection-themed booths. Through educational games and engagement activities, visitors were encouraged to understand the importance of preparing for financial risks in daily life. Askrindo’s President Director, M Fankar Umran, stated that improving insurance literacy and inclusion is crucial for building public financial resilience. ‘Askrindo aims to continuously enhance public understanding of the importance of financial protection and risk management. Insurance education must be delivered through accessible, simple, and relevant approaches to be easily understood by all segments of society, especially the youth,’ Fankar said in a written statement on Monday, 25 May 2026. He added that microinsurance plays a strategic role in expanding access to financial protection by offering practical and affordable coverage. ‘Microinsurance products address public needs for protection against various risks, including personal accidents, micro-business risks, and home protection. We hope the public increasingly recognises protection as a vital part of early financial planning,’ he added. In addition to the activation booth, Askrindo participated in a business talkshow discussing the importance of financial preparedness, risk management, and raising protection awareness amid current societal dynamics. Through participation in the Jogja Financial Festival 2026, Askrindo aims to further raise public awareness of insurance importance while supporting national financial inclusion efforts. Fankar also stressed that adaptive education and communication are key to building closer ties between the insurance industry and the public. ‘Young people play a significant role in creating a more risk-aware and financially prepared society. Therefore, Askrindo aims to be not just an insurance company but also an educational partner that provides easily understandable protection insights relevant to daily life,’ Fankar concluded. According to data from the 2025 National Financial Literacy and Inclusion Survey (SNLIK), the insurance literacy index rose to 45.45% and the insurance inclusion index reached 28.50%. These figures indicate growing public awareness of the importance of insurance protection, presenting opportunities for the industry to further expand education and access to protection services.
