The Illusion of Peace Under the Shadow of 'Greater Israel' and the Business Trap of New Gaza
The escalation of crimes by the Zionist entity in the West Bank is increasingly uncontrollable and systematic. According to a CNN Indonesia report on 6 August 2026, the Zionist entity openly announced plans to build 2,300 illegal settlement units in East Jerusalem. Simultaneously, as reported by Kompas TV and Republika, violence perpetrated by illegal Zionist settlers continues to rise through thousands of attacks, acts of terror, raids on refugee camps, and the destruction and closure of dozens of mosques, reaching a record high.
As highlighted by Anadolu Agency and RRI, UN agencies have confirmed their concern over the acceleration of these illegal settlement legalisations, viewing it as an expansion of the genocidal strategy from Gaza to the West Bank. Amidst this massive slaughter and land seizure, the New Gaza project through the Board of Peace (BoP) scheme is being pushed forward more aggressively.
This reality on the ground confirms one thing: annexation will continue to be carried out by the Zionists even as the UN and the entire world voice their rejection. This fact proves that the ambition to realise the doctrine of ‘Greater Israel’ is a primary ideological agenda that is deeply serious and will never be halted through negotiations. Therefore, the narrative of Palestinian independence through the ‘Two-State Solution’ long peddled by Western diplomacy is nothing but a utopian illusion that the Zionists will never agree to. On the other hand, the New Gaza project is merely a new business field for the United States under the Board of Peace strategy to consolidate economic and political control following Gaza’s destruction, while simultaneously lulling the Palestinian people’s resistance.
In the Islamic view, submission to a false peace narrative with a colonial entity is a fatal mistake. Allah SWT has warned in the Qur’an about the nature of such an entity, which will never cease until the faithful follow their will: “And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, ‘Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.’ If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 120).
Islamic history proves that the obligation to protect the land of Al-Quds and Palestine was carried out with honour when the Ummah possessed a global leadership institution, the Caliphate. In 1901, the founder of the world Zionist movement, Theodor Herzl, met with Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the Ottoman Caliph, to persuade him to hand over Palestinian land to the Zionists in exchange for paying off the Caliphate’s entire debt. Sultan Abdul Hamid II firmly rejected the offer and declared: “I will not sell even a single inch of Palestinian land, for it is not my property, but the property of the entire Muslim Ummah. This Ummah has waged jihad to defend this land and watered it with their blood. Let the Caliphate collapse rather than see Palestine carved up.”
This firm stance demonstrates that Palestine is a kharajiyah land belonging to the entire Muslim Ummah, which is forbidden to be surrendered or compromised to the colonisers.
Therefore, the construction of a solution to the Palestinian tragedy must be returned to the straight path. First, the Zionist entity of Israel is a colonial entity with which peace is impossible. The key to liberating Palestine from the grip of the colonisers is jihad and the military unity of Muslim nations. Second, the sweet mask of the New Gaza project and the Board of Peace agreements must be critically exposed before the Ummah. The Ummah must not be deceived or support their rulers in joining the BoP scheme, as compromising with this American-made scheme is a clear betrayal of the blood of the Palestinian martyrs. Third, the unity of Muslim nations under a single leadership of the Caliphate system must be fought for more massively through organised political da’wah. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Indeed, the Imam (Caliph) is a shield, behind whom people fight and by whom they are protected.” (HR. Muslim). Only with the return of this shield of the Ummah can the military strength and resources of Muslim nations be united to stop Zionist crimes and liberate Al-Quds in a true and just manner.
