The Facts Behind the PI Fund Corruption Case Implicating Former Lampung Governor Arinal

According to detikSumbagsel on Wednesday (29/4/2026), this PI fund corruption case already has three suspects who are currently on trial. They are former Commissioner of PT Lampung Energi Berjaya (LEB) Heri, former President Director of PT LEB M Hermawan Eriadi, and former Operations Director of PT LEB Budi Kurniawan.

Head of the Lampung Attorney General’s Office, Danang Suryo Wibowo, stated that Arinal’s name emerged based on the testimonies of the defendants in the ongoing trial at the Tanjungkarang Corruption Court.

“The examination of A was conducted based on developments in the investigation and facts revealed in the trial,” he explained.

Arinal was then questioned on Tuesday (28/4). Arinal is known to have skipped two summonses from investigators. After being questioned, Arinal was designated as a suspect.

The case implicating Arinal concerns the management of 10 percent PI funds in the WK OSES. At that time, the Lampung Provincial Government through PT Lampung Energi Berjaya received funds amounting to USD 17,268,000 or equivalent to Rp 271.5 billion.
