The Exploits of Andre 'The Doctor', Supplier of Meth to the Koh Erwin Network

Andre Fernando alias Charlie’s escape from justice in the drug case linked to the Koh Erwin network has come to an end. The man nicknamed ‘The Doctor’ was arrested in Penang, Malaysia.

‘The Doctor’ was captured in a joint operation involving the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, the Polri International Relations Division, and Interpol. He was apprehended after being detected in Penang, Malaysia, on Sunday (5/4).

The arrest of ‘The Doctor’ was confirmed by the Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso. Eko stated that the suspect is currently being flown back to Indonesia.

“The DPO is currently en route to Indonesia under escort by officers,” said Brigjen Eko Hadi on Monday (6/4/2026).

Who is Andre ‘The Doctor’?

So, who is Andre ‘The Doctor’? And what is his involvement in drug trafficking?

Brigjen Eko Hadi explained that Andre ‘The Doctor’ is the most wanted drug lord at present. He is a supplier of drugs to the syndicate of Erwin Iskandar alias Koko Erwin, a drug lord in the Bima City network, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

For information, the Koh Erwin case also implicated former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro and former Head of Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police AKP Malaungi.

Andre ‘The Doctor’ is said to have supplied drugs to the Koh Erwin network twice. He is also a distributor who brings drugs into Indonesia via land and cargo routes.

Koh Andre supplies various types of narcotics, including meth, vapes containing etomidate, and happy water. He is also known to have a network in the Riau region and has been recorded smuggling etomidate-containing vapes from Malaysia via sea routes through Dumai.

Recent developments reveal that Andre ‘The Doctor’ is also linked to a drug distribution network at the Whiterabbit nightclub in Jakarta.

Andre’s Right-Hand Man Still Being Hunted

Previously, Bareskrim Polri was also pursuing Rendy Hermawan, the right-hand man of drug lord Andre Fernando ‘The Doctor’. Rendy is now on the wanted list.

“Rendy Hermawan is the right-hand man of the DPO named Andre ‘The Doctor’,” said the Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso, in his statement on Friday (27/3).

Eko mentioned that Rendy has an important role in the drug distribution carried out by Andre. His last known location has been identified.

“His roles include recruiting syndicate members to provide holding bank accounts for drug transactions. His last known position is in Malaysia,” he explained.
