JEMBER, East Java: Geography books said there are 43 hills here, but aerial photos taken recently by experts at the Jember University revealed there were 100 more, Antara reported.

Rector K. Santoso said on Saturday that the hills in Jember were rich in minerals.

The university will soon launch various studies on the newly discovered hills to help prevent exploitation which may damage them, Santoso said. (swe)
