The Career Journey of Major General Trenggono: From Distinguished Army Service to Deputy Head of National Nutrition Agency
President Prabowo Subianto has officially inaugurated the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik S. Daeyang, alongside her two deputies, Major General TNI Trenggono and Agustina Arumsari. The appointment of Trenggono as Deputy Head has drawn significant public attention, particularly as he succeeds Lodewyk Pusung.
Major General TNI Trenglagono was born on 21 November 1969 and is a 1993 graduate of the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang. Following his military education, he pursued further studies, earning a Bachelor of Government Science (S.IP.) and a Master of Public Administration (M.A.P.).
Throughout his career in the Indonesian Army (TNI AD), Trenggono has been recognised as an officer with extensive experience in education, development, and military human resource management. He has held several key positions within the Army, including:

During his tenure as the Director of the Military Academy (Dirum Akmil), Trenggono played a vital role in managing the administration and operations of the Indonesian Army institution. He held this position until 2024, before being transferred to the Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad).
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Head of the BGN, Trenggono served as the Deputy President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, a company operating in the food sector as part of the government’s initiative to strengthen national food security.
Regarding his transition to civilian service, Trenggono confirmed that he resigned from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) prior to the inauguration ceremony. He stated that his decision to step down from the military was a personal choice, prompted by his appointment to a public role as the Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency. The inauguration took place at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Monday, 8 June 2026.
