The Body of Alex Noerdin Arrives at the Family Home in South Jakarta

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The body of former South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin arrived at the family home, located at his son Dodi Reza Alex’s residence, in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Based on Kompas.com’s observation at the location on Wednesday (25/2/2026) afternoon, the vehicle carrying Alex’s body arrived at the family home at approximately 4:38 PM.

The body was then carried and placed in the living room area to be laid in state.

A number of family members and relatives also accompanied Alex into the family home.

Alex Noerdin passed away at the age of 76 while undergoing medical treatment at a hospital.

Alex’s spokesperson, Okta Alfarizi, said that the body would first be laid in state at his son’s house on Wednesday night.

“The first night of remembrance will definitely be held at Kak Dodi’s house,” he said.

The body will be transported from the family home at 6:00 AM, with a scheduled departure time of 7:00 AM from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

In Palembang, Alex’s body will be laid in state again at the family home on Jalan Merdeka before being buried at the Keluarga Kebun Bunga Cemetery, Palembang City.
