The best prayer during wuquf at Arafat Plain

The essence of Hajj is the wuquf at Arafat Plain. All pilgrims, including the sick and elderly, must perform it. Naturally, there are concessions (rukhsah) for its execution. Regarding sick pilgrims, the Hajj organising committee from their home country typically coordinates with khadim al-haramain (Saudi Arabia) to facilitate their wuquf. When performing wuquf, the activities of all Hajj pilgrims vary, except during prayers and the sermon. Pilgrims generally rely on guides. For example, during supplication, many pilgrims simply echo the guide’s prayers. Hakim narrates: Prophet Musa (AS) said, ‘O my Lord, teach me a prayer with which I may supplicate to You.’ Allah responded, ‘O Musa, say: There is no god but Allah.’ Musa (AS) replied, ‘O my Lord, everyone says ’There is no god but Allah.’ Allah said, ‘O Musa, if the seven heavens and earth were placed on one scale and the phrase ’There is no god but Allah’ on the other, the latter would outweigh the former.’
