The Azizah Salsha Case: From Failed Mediation to YouTuber Resbob Charged
The Cyber Crime Directorate (Dittipidsiber) of the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) has officially named two YouTuber siblings, Adimas Firdaus, alias Resbob, and Muhammad Jannah, alias Bigmo, as suspects in a case of alleged defamation against Nurul Azizah, the daughter of Andre Rosiade, also known as Azizah Salsha. The status was confirmed by Directorate Head Kombes Pol. Rizki Agung Prakoso on Thursday, 5 March 2026, after investigators held a case-conference this week and found strong criminal elements in the defendants’ uploaded content. The case began when Azizah Salsha, accompanied by her legal counsel Anandya Dipo Pratama, reported the TikTok account @ibaratbradpitt (Resbob) and the YouTube channel @niceguymo (Bigmo) to Bareskrim Polri on 12 August 2025. The report was registered under LP/B/387/VIII/2025/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI. They were accused of disseminating defaming allegations that Azizah Salsha was having an affair with her husband, Pratama Arhan, and even engaging in sexual relations with other parties. Azizah’s family maintained the allegations had no basis and seriously harmed the family name. Before being named suspects, authorities had pursued restorative justice via mediation on 19 September 2025. In the meeting, Resbob and Bigmo attended in person and publicly apologised to Azizah and her family. Azizah Salsha’s representatives, through counsel, rejected the peace agreement. They opted to continue the legal process to deter future content creators from misusing social media. The case progressed to the investigative stage on 28 October 2025 after digital evidence was deemed sufficient to implicate the suspects. Resbob and Bigmo were charged under multiple provisions, including defamation; Resbob is also facing another case related to alleged hate speech with content targeting the Sunda people. With the status of suspects confirmed, Bareskrim Polri is scheduling further examinations of the pair.
