Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — More than 30 top American higher education institutions now accept fewer than one in ten applicants. Gaining admission to the most selective colleges in the United States has become increasingly competitive. The ranking shows 30 institutions in the United States with the lowest acceptance rates, indicating which campuses offer the smallest chances of admission for applicants. Caltech sits at the top with an acceptance rate of 3%, while several other elite universities, including Harvard, Stanford, and Yale, admit around 4% of applicants. All eight Ivy League universities are also included in the list of the 30 campuses with the lowest acceptance rates.
