I am currently employed by one of the companies in Wisma
Metropolitan on Jl. Sudirman, and I think I represent other
employees in the vicinity in conveying belated gratitude to the
management of Le Meridien Hotel for providing security on the
pedestrian bridge in front of the hotel for the past 18 months.

This bridge is particularly notorious for its pickpockets and
muggers, and I can refer to two experiences I had, both in the
morning at around eight when I was confronted by at least three
culprits.

This problem should be brought to the police's immediate
attention, who are responsible for security, as in the early
hours you can find numerous police officers in the area, who seem
to prioritize violations of the "3-in-1" traffic policy (which
is possibly more "lucrative") instead of providing security for
pedestrians on this and certainly all the other pedestrian
bridges in the city.

Security from the police would surely be one way of reducing
preman (hoodlums) and the daredevils who would rather run across
the street than face the dangers above them.

Le Meridien Hotel, once again thank you. Police department,
your attention please!
