PT Hutama Karya (Persero) successfully held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) for the 2025 fiscal year in Jakarta on Tuesday (23/6). During the RUPST, shareholders approved the Board of Directors’ accountability report and the Board of Commissioners’ supervisory report on the company’s performance throughout 2025.

Throughout 2025, Hutama Karya’s net profit grew by 11.6% compared to the previous year. The transition of several Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) sections from the peak construction phase to the operational phase influenced the composition of revenue, while a focus on efficiency drove stronger profitability. This was reflected in operating profit rising 10.2%, pre-tax profit growing 13.1%, and the net profit margin strengthening to 12.3% from 9.1% the year before. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity even grew by 20.5%.

Strengthening was also evident on the balance sheet. The company’s total liabilities fell 17.4% and financial expenses decreased by 24.5%, while equity continued to strengthen, marking an increasingly healthy capital structure and greater capacity to finance long-term strategic projects.

“2025 was a transition phase for some JTTS sections from construction to operation. In this phase, we prioritised efficiency and earnings quality, so net profit continued to grow and our capital structure became healthier. This is what we mean by quality growth,” said Hutama Karya President Director Koentjoro, quoted on Wednesday (24/6/2026).

As a state-owned enterprise carrying out government assignments, Hutama Karya’s contribution to the country also comes in the form of adding strategic infrastructure assets as JTTS sections are completed. To date, Hutama Karya has built approximately 1,235 km of JTTS and manages 14 strategic toll road sections connecting economic centres in Sumatra and Java.

“The presence of JTTS has a multiplier effect: cutting logistics costs and time, growing MSMEs through tenant priority in rest areas, and developing regional tourism through the ‘Sumatra Sudah Dekat’ connectivity spirit,” he stated.

Through the 2025 fiscal year RUPST, Hutama Karya affirmed its commitment to continuing the completion of the JTTS assignment, strengthening operational efficiency, and maintaining financial discipline. “Every fundamental improvement in our finances we translate into sustainable value for the state, through the completion of strategic infrastructure, tax contributions, and increasingly productive asset management,” Koentjoro concluded.
