Thailand wins soccer gold again

BACOLOD CITY: Theratep Winothi scored three goals on Sunday to
lead Thailand to a 3-0 thrashing of Vietnam and its seventh
straight Southeast Asian Games soccer gold medal.

Thailand dominated throughout the gold medal match at the
Paglaum Sports Complex on the central island of Negros, and never
appeared threatened by silver medalist Vietnam.

Malaysia beat Indonesia 1-0 earlier on Sunday to claim the
bronze medal.

Thailand went undefeated in the preliminary rounds. -- AP
