Thai premier to visit RP

MANILA (Reuter): Thai Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-Archa will
visit the Philippines for talks with President Fidel Ramos from
Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, the presidential palace said yesterday.

A palace statement said the visit was expected to help expand
trade, investment, tourism and technical cooperation between the
two countries.

Thailand and the Philippines are members of the Association of
Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which also links Indonesia,
Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and newcomer Vietnam.
