Thai pledges KO victory

JAKARTA (JP): Jodsingh Sarina of Thailand vowed to make short
work of Indonesian Nico Thomas in their bout for the vacant
Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation mini flyweight championship
title at the Senayan Basketball Hall tonight.

"I will stop Nico in the seventh round. I'm in better shape
than him," the 17-year-old Jodsingh said at a pre-fight press
conference on Tuesday.

Jodsingh, OPBF contender number one with a 28-1 record, will
lock horns with OPBF number two Nico for a scheduled 12 rounds.

Former IBF Intercontinental champion Nico refused to make a
pre-match boast, but promised to fight it out against his junior
of 12 years. (amd)
