Thai king advised to rest
BANGKOK (Reuter): Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been told by his doctors to rest after he suffered from brief chest pains, the Bureau of the Royal Household said in a statement.
King Bhumibol, 67, suffered the pains during routine daily exercise on Monday evening, the statement issued late on Tuesday said.
His doctors determined the pain was caused by a brief problem involving insufficient blood supply to certain heart muscles, the bureau said.
The king has been advised to rest and avoid royal activities for the time being.
