Thai food festival held

JAKARTA (JP): A Thai food festival is being held at the Senayan Cafe in Hotel Atlet Century Park, Central Jakarta, until Friday.

The hotel's executive chef, Y. Hidayat, said three kinds of soup and seven spicy main courses were available during the festival, which was aimed at promoting Thai cuisine in the country.

Thai Embassy Minister Counselor Piroon Laismit opened the three-day event on Wednesday in a ceremony featuring a traditional thanksgiving dance from northeastern Thailand called Rum Pang Lang. (lup)
