Thai Dancer and Chinese DJ Deported for Residency Violations
Jakarta — A Thai dancer and Chinese disc jockey were deported after being found to have misused their residence permits in Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
Chinese national ZS and Thai national KS were arrested at an entertainment venue during a foreign national monitoring operation conducted by the South Jakarta Immigration Office on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
“The South Jakarta Immigration Office secured two foreign nationals suspected of misusing their residence permits during an enforcement operation in the Kuningan area,” said Winarko, head of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, in a statement on Friday, 27 February 2026.
The residence was also found to be serving as an illegal gathering point. “Officers also discovered in the field that the location was suspected of being a meeting point for a community that should not have been gathering there,” Winarko said.
